PHG alert
The weather has been anything but tame just about anywhere you look.
Well, except maybe in my neighborhood, so I won't post any pictures.
The extended family have, for the most part, been fortunate that the weather has only slightly inconvenienced them.
Except this morning!
Except this morning!
PHG* had to have her roommate drive her to work.
There are others who aren't nearly as fortunate.
We pray they get relief soon.
*christened Permanent House Guest in May 2012, rechristened Pretty Hot Girl soon thereafter.

Friday cat
This has probably been posted previously.
But there's a whole folder of cat pics from that backup.
I'm going to take advantage of them.

Oh no, pt. II
It was catastrophic.
According to the tech guy, "Your motherboard crashed."
There was no telling why.
Unfortunately, it was out of warranty.
So we ordered a replacement.
That took some time.
They'd copied my phone number wrong and had to wait for me to contact them.
Then, it took a week to get the new unit to set it up.
Then, it took a week to get the new unit to set it up.
Then they weren't able to retrieve any of the data on the old unit.
But I have a backup.
The SSD has been plugged in since 2017.
The SSD has been plugged in since 2017.
I hand delivered it Monday afternoon.
The new unit would be ready later in the day.
24 hours later I'd heard nothing, so I called.
"Uh, your last backup is dated March 3, 2017."
I'd thought I was set for automatic backups.
I never checked to see if it was happening.
So . . . now I have a blank slate.
