I'm only a little bit sorry for posting those weather bits yesterday. They were really my way of announcing, that weatherwise, we are back to
normal the usual...

...and just in time, too. The
Shasta District Fair starts today. It's pretty much a given that whatever weather we have been experiencing, in this case relatively mild, it will change for the week of the fair. Some years it rains, others, like this year, it warms up... a lot.

Somebody talked me into reading

A glance at the NWS site shows a light breeze out of the north
...with a gust of 63MPH at 1:35 this morning ...uh huh, and hence the name for this blog.

Speaking of wind, I see where the first presidential debate was held somewhere in the north. I only mention this because it actually has increased in the last hour since I started this post.

We're still dealing with some issues regarding the roof leaks and related damage. Everything was fixed. But now there's a question from the insurance company about the integrity of the roof they arranged to have repaired.

The previous item could easily fall under the category of WTF Wednesday, a regular item found over at

My avatar is among the missing on a whole bunch of blogs out there. I'm listed as a follower, but there's just one of those generic tiny heads. I wonder what Blooger
[1] is up to now?

In case you're curious about why I crossed out normal, it's because I found out normal is only a setting on the dryer.
...and that explains a lot
It only took an hour to write that drivel
