What’s this

Without context this photo doesn’t mean much.
As MB and I wander we are made aware of various places we might visit.
Earlier this past week, on our way to [almost] Cleveland, we saw a sign for the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Museum in Fremont, OH.
It was on our route so we stopped.
We were not disappointed.
We know a lot more about President Hayes.

While we were on the tour of the home, which is also on the site, the guide mentioned another place of interest, Ft. Meigs.
Yesterday we drove a little bit out of our way, to Perrysburg, OH.
Now we know that the fort is the site of the first major victory by U.S. troops in the War of 1812.

About the only disappointment was that the visitor center didn’t have any magnets.

  1. It’s very low key, huh? Too bad about the magnets….

  2. There are so many places tucked around corners we don't even realize, and they are significant and worth noting and we'd never get to them all although it would be so much fun to try!
